Funeral services for Lydia “Inez” Yoder, 82, of Kalona, was held Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, at the Caleb Yoder residence, Kalona.
Lydia “Inez” (Kauffman) Yoder born March 17, 1941, in Kalona, the daughter of Abe and Alta (Otto) Kauffman. Inez was united in marriage to Vernon Yoder on Aug. 17, 1967.
Inez was a faithful member of the Old Order Amish church until her death. Inez died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023, following a brief illness at the age of 82 years 9 months 14 days. She is remembered for her generous hospitality.
She is survived by her husband: Vernon; seven children: Chester (Rosanna) of Kalona, Lester (Elizabeth) of Sugarcreek, Ohio, Leonard (Sherlyn) of Ava, Illinois, Rachel (Ivan) Miller of Kalona, Norman (Dena) of Kalona, Caleb (Rosina) of Kalona, and Regina of Crofton, Kentucky; and 32 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son: Sanford Lynn; a grandson: Sanford Emory; her parents; a brother: Cephas; a sister: Rhoda; and a sister-in-law: Katie Kauffman.
