The Mid-Prairie High School Marching Band will hold its annual marching band camp at the high school August 16-21. The program consists of sectional rehearsals of the marching show music and field marching practice August 21.
The band will do the movie music of John Williams this fall, and the camp is intended to give band members a head start on preparation for the half-time show performances and marching competitions.
Schedule follows:
Monday, August 16, 7 p.m., percussion and keyboard players; 8 p.m., trumpets and mellophones.
Tuesday, August 17, 7 p.m., flutes, B flat clarinets, alto saxophones; 8 p.m., low brass, low woodwinds, electric bass.
Wednesday, August 18, 7 p.m., percussion and keyboard players; 8 p.m., trumpets and mellophones.
Thursday, August 18, 7 p.m., flutes,. B flat clarinets, alto saxophones; 8 p.m., low brass, low woodwinds, electric bass.
Saturday, August 21, 9 a.m.-noon, freshman orientation and marching practice; 1-4 p.m., marching band practice for all members of the 1999 marching band.
