The Wellman and Kalona Elementary schools will sponsor a student Book Fair November 1-4 at the respective schools. Parents and visitors may attend the fair Wednesday, November 3, and Thursday, November 4 during the Parent-Teacher Conferences, buying directly from the fair display.
Books will be on display in the schools’ library-media centers.
All profits from the fair will be used to purchase new materials for the schools’ libraries.
The fair includes new books from major publishers in a variety of price ranges. All areas are represented: classics, fiction, biographies, adventure stories, science, nature, crafts, mystery and reference books.
Kalona Elementary School also will sell T-shirts and sweatshirts featuring the theme, Middle of the Prairie, Center of the Universe. The slogan is by Jean Hussey and the design by Bradley Hershberger. Samples will be in the Media Center, and orders will be taken.
