Mary Edna Miller, 90, of Kalona, died Wednesday, June 23, 1999, in her home following a lengthy illness.
Services were Saturday, June 26, in the Elmer T. Miller residence, rural Kalona, with Elmer T. Miller the minister in charge. Burial was in the East Union Cemetery, rural Kalona.
Born August 12, 1908, near Kalona, she was the daughter of John J. and Eliza Jane (Kempf) Shetler.
She married Emery B. Miller October 14, 1928 near Kalona, where the couple lived and Mrs. Miller was a homemaker. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Laurine and Walter Beachy of Kalona, Eldora and Eldon Swartzentruber of Harrisonburg, Virginia, Edna and Alvin Beachy of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Dorothy and Alvin Mast of Parsonsburg, Maryland; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gordon and Iva Miller and Virgil and Jane Miller, all of Kalona; thirty-seven grandchildren and 128 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two grandchildren; two sisters, Ella Beachy and Lydia Miller; and two brothers, Jesse Shetler and John Shetler.
