Flexibility Account Spending
Mid-Prairie Community School District
In the County of Washington, State of Iowa
You are hereby notified Pursuant to Chapters 21 and 298A Code of Iowa, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by Mid-Prairie Community Schools, on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at the Mid-Prairie Central Office Community Room at 1636 Highway 22 East, Wellman Iowa. This hearing is on a resolution to expend funds from district’s Flexibility Account stated as, “Moneys received by the District for the Instructional Support Program may be used for the purpose of maintaining educational services including new textbooks, instructional materials, student health services, technology personnel, software, equipment less than $500, funding ongoing programs, review of facility needs at the Home School Education Center, meeting standards of accreditation of Iowa school districts, and implementing generally accepted accounting principles, including maintaining adequate spending authority and cash reserves.” These funds proposed to be transferred are from the Home School Assistance Program in the approximate amount of $350,000.00 and are unexpended and unobligated from the Home School Assistance Fund categorical funds.
All persons interested are invited to attend this hearing and be heard.
