Mid-Prairie FFA attends Ankeny Conferences

Nine members of the Mid-Prairie FFA attended the Ignite, Amplify and Transform Conferences in Ankeny at the FFA Enrichment Center on Saturday, January 4.  The Ignite Conference was for 7-9th graders and focused on connecting students to opportunities through FFA. 

Stella Janecek, Madelyn Sieren, Quinton Smith, Elijah Statler and Allie Whetstine attended this conference.  Their programming included information on advocating for the agricultural industry, understanding genuine leadership, giving of themselves daily, opportunities in FFA, creating experiences that lead to careers and developing communication and cooperation. 

The Amplify Conference was for 10-11th graders and focused on student development. Brylee Gearhart, Ava Gingerich and Sydney Knebel attended this conference.  The Amplify conference focused on the importance of having a vivid vision, discovering personal passions for the future, developing self-confidence and winning mentality, establishing a strategy to reach for their vision, and understanding the value of accountability. 

Marissa Cline participated in the Transform conference for seniors. This conference focused on chapter leadership development and how to pay it forward to local FFA chapters and create personal plans after high school.  This conference included programming on how to leave a legacy, recognizing the importance of diversity and inclusion, identifying opportunities of how to be involved with FFA after high school. 

These conferences were presented by the Iowa FFA State Officer team along with past State FFA Officers.
