The Mid-Prairie High School Drama Department will be performing the musical, Meet Me in St. Louis on November 5th and 6th at 7pm, and 7th at 2pm.
Meet Me in St. Louis is about a family in the early 1900’s, on the eve of the 1904 World’s Fair. In the Smith family we meet Mr. & Mrs. Smith (Alex Burnham and Harlan Tandy), their four daughters Rose (Avery Slaubaugh), Esther (Liv Caskey), Agnes (Grace Puttman), and Tootie (Terra Richardson), and their son, Lon (Ethan Bontrager). We soon meet other characters like John Truitt (Haydon Bailey), Grandpa Prophater (Jacob Carrillo), and Warren Sheffield (Chris Burnham). We follow this cast of characters through Halloween, Christmas, and right up to the World’s Fair. Some songs are “The Boy Next Door”, “Over the Banister”, and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”.
The musical is directed by Natalie Silbaugh and Christine Meader, with Collette McClellen as the Vocal Director, and Student Director is Sam Harris.
Meet Me in St. Louis is a charming, comedic musical perfect for any age to enjoy. Tickets are $5 for students, $10 for adults. Contact Nicole Slaubaugh at 319-430-3074 or nslaubaugh@mphawks.org.
