Deadline for filing completed nomination papers for the Mid-Prairie Board of Education is 5 p.m., Thursday, August 5. To date, three people have obtained nomination papers: incumbent Elizabeth Curl of Wellman, Jim Hussey and Sally Kern, both of Kalona. No papers have been returned yet.
The three expiring terms are those of Curl, Ed Whestine and Craig Schweinfurth.
