Pathway Christian boys’ basketball team opened their season Dec. 6 with a win against Quint City, 65-45.
Coach Kurt Kemp was pleased with his team’s victory.

Pathway Christian only turned the ball over four times.
LeRoy Gingerich scored 16 points and grabbed 15 rebounds.
Andrew Miller and Brandon Helmuth each added 14 points.
Helmuth led the defense with four steals and five rebounds.
The Pathway Christian boys basketball won their second game of the season, Dec. 10 against Marshalltown, 84-42.
Coach Kemp said, “This was a fun game in which everyone played.”
Marshalltown’s only center was injured. According to Coach Kemp, Marshalltown couldn’t keep up with Pathway Christian inside the lane.
Pathway’s 52 of 77 shots came in the lane.
Helmuth scored team-high 18 points and stole the ball five times. Tim Bender added 16 points.
Andrew Miller led the offense with seven assists.
Pathway Christian takes on Temple at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17.
