Services are at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 26, in Asbury United Methodist Church, Wellman, with the Reverend Doug Achterhof officiating. Burial will follow in the Wellman Cemetery.

Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Friday, June 25, in Powell Funeral Home, Wellman. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 9, at 11 a.m. in St. Jude by the Lake Church in Mahtomedi, Minnesota, followed by a lunch.

Born August 8, 1957, in Washington, he was the son of Max and Doris (Knutson) Lewis. He graduated from Mid-Prairie High School in 1975, attended Iowa Central Community College in Ft. Dodge for two years and graduated from Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minnesota in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in social work.

Paul Franklin Lewis, 41, of Oakdale, Minnesota, died Sunday, June 20, 1999, in his home of cancer.

He worked as a probation officer in Cedar Rapids and Denver, Colorado, and was, at the time of his death, a probation officer for the state of Minnesota.

Mr. Lewis was united in marriage to Tracy Hardwig August 15, 1981 in Bemidji. He was a high school basketball official and softball official in Colorado and Minnesota and a member of the USSSA and the ASA.

Survivors include his wife, Tracy; one daughter, Noelle Lewis, and one son, Nicholas Lewis, both at home; his parents, Max and Doris Lewis of Wellman; one brother, Keith Lewis of Tucson, Arizona and three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Terry and Herb Kay of Tucson, Robin Seymour of Loveland, Colorado and Barbara and Jim Dougherty of Norwalk, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
