Philip Andrew Piper was born March 9, 1971, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Phil and Sharon Piper. On Sept. 17, 2021 he entered Heaven. Services were held Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, at Central Assembly, Angleton, Texas.

Andy grew up in Kalona, and attended Mid-Prairie Schools thru the 8th grade. He also served as bat boy, water boy or honorary manager for whatever sport his Dad was coaching.

In June 1985, Andy and his family moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He attended Family Christian Academy and he was involved in football, basketball and baseball, active in his youth group Crossfire and was a founding member of “the original” FCA crew (and Rolling TP Committee). After high school Andy attended Jimmy Swaggart Bible College.

In 1995 Andy moved to Angleton, Texas, and got married. Life happens and in 2014 Andy reconnected with his high school sweetheart, Jenny. They were married July 18, 2015.

Anyone that knew Andy knows he loved spending time with his family, watching sports (Iowa Hawkeyes, LSU Tigers and the Houston Astros) and having fun. He had a servant’s heart, was fiercely loyal and loved helping people. His sense of humor was unique and his laugh was always genuine.

Andy fulfilled many roles to many people: husband and best friend to Jenny Piper of Angleton, Texas; Best Daddy and hero to Marie Piper and MaKae Piper of Angleton, Texas, Jenny C Taylor of  Harvey, Louisiana, Jennel V (Jeremy) DeLaune of Richwood, Texas, Joanna V Reyna and Jovanni J Reyna, both at home; loving and helpful son to Phil and Sharon Piper of Angleton, Texas; goofy brother and prankster to Jill (Jason) Crews of Angleton, Texas and Marti (Brian “Whitey”) Davidson of Prairieville, Louisiana; awesome uncle and ice cream buyer to JuliAnna Crews of Angleton, Texas, BJ Davidson of Jarreau, Louisiana, Michael Diez of Walker, Louisiana and Zak Davidson of Prairieville, Louisiana; and doting PawPaw to Miyah, McKenzie, Messiah of Harvey, Louisiana; Dominic and William of Richwood, Texas.

Andy will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and of course, his FCA crew.

I can no longer see you with my eyes but I can feel you in my heart forever …
