WELLMAN
On Saturday, April 27, Mid-Prairie hosted their prom through the rain and thunderstorms.
Pairs were greeted by a swarm of parents and friends as they arrived at the school’s entrance, walking in unison as they were photographed from all angles as if met by the paparazzi.
As the students slow dripped inside, the rain dropped progressively harder, necessitating umbrellas for the late arrivals.
Once inside, the pairs lined up, awaiting their turn for the Grand March. Students walked on the stage, some stopping for photos, others dancing or popping confetti.
Then, the pairs marched down a jagged line, stopping in two predetermined spots for an ideal photo op before taking a seat to watch their fellow classmates take their turn.
Immediately following the Grand March was a clean-up effort before the dance began.
