The center of attention at Hillcrest Academy's Alumni Night on December 21 was boys basketball coach Dwight Gingerich, who won his 702nd game with a victory over conference rival Highland. Gingerich is the sixth basketball coach in Iowa history to reach 700 wins, and the only one to do it at one school.
Spectators stayed after the girls-boys doubleheader to watch a video featuring former Hillcrest and IMS players, followed by a reception in the gym and lobby.
