With survey results coming in 72-2, the Mid-Prairie Post-Prom Committee decided that the 1999 Post-Prom Party will be at Planet X in Iowa City.
The committee met Monday, February 8, at the high school. Bud and Kim Juilfs and Mark and Phyllis Casper volunteered to serve as Co-chairmen.
The Entertainment committee led the discussion about holding the Post-Prom party at Planet X since most rental games were not available. A survey had been sent to parents of juniors and seniors, asking for input about the decision. The returns were 72 in favor and two opposed.
The party will be at Planet X following the prom May 1 at the high school.
Other committees are Jayne Hochstedler and Ruth Kelley, donations; Voncille Johnson and Cindy Gingerich, entertainment; Rick and Cindy Surly, Valli Kempf, Chris Huston, food; Barbara Morgan, Kathy Griffith, Jay and Cindy Thrapp, decorations; Les and Mary Yoder, John and Barbara Kauffman, Richard and Chris Brenneman, valet parking; Chris Brenneman, T-shirts and Hope Gingerich, video.
Fay Kos is secretary and Ruth Kelley, treasurer.
More assistance is needed for the video work.
The next meeting is Monday, February 22, at 7 p.m. in the high school. For more information, call Kim Juilfs, 646-6706 or Phyllis Casper, 656-5215.
