NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Grade-Alike Attendance Center Changes for the 2026-2027 School Year
Mid-Prairie Community School District

To Whom It May Concern:
You are hereby notified that at 6:30 p.m., Central Time on Monday, March 10, 2025, in the Community Room of the Central Office, 1636 Hwy 22, Wellman, Iowa there will be a public hearing to provide for public comment on the proposed Grade-Alike transitions for the 2026-2027 School Year. Any persons interested may appear and to provide comment to the options provided.
The proposal is to make the East Elementary School in Kalona, Iowa, changed from Kindergarten, Grades 1 and 2 to Preschool, Kindergarten, and Grade 1 and make the West Elementary School in Wellman, Iowa, changed from Preschool, Grades 3 and 4 to Grades 2, 3, and 4. These changes would be implemented in the 2026-2027 School Year.
