The Kalona Rebekahs held their stated meeting at the Kalonial Townhouse, Tuesday evening, October 26, following the 6:30 dinner. Noble Grand Judy Bender and Vice Grand Paula Hartley were in the chairs.
Three guests from Zimri Lodge in Washington shared the meeting and announcement was made of the Joint Installation ceremony to be at the Washington Lodge Hall, Thursday evening, November 11 at 7 o’clock.
Beverly Kephart from Washington gave a fine report of the annual Rebekah Assembly held in Des Moines, October 13-15. She mentioned changes made in procedures, as well as soliciting funds for the Lodge Home.
Marcia Reece was reported confined to an Iowa City hospital; a Thank You was read from Velma Spicher and Irma Gingerich for birthday treats and visit provided by the members recently. Visitations reported were 44 to members and 41 to non-members.
Noble Grand Bender gave an interesting report of the International Convention that she had attended in Washington State in August.
The next scheduled meeting will be Tuesday evening, November 9 at the Kalonial Townhouse with a 6:30 dinner.
