Prior to a summer recess, the Kalona Rebekah members met Tuesday evening, July 13 at the Kalonial Townhouse. Dinner was shared at 6:30 followed by the meeting conducted by Paula Hartley and Mable Miller as pro tem noble and vice grand.
Noble Grand Judy Bender was reported hospitalized following surgery; a memorial gift was made to the Alvin Miller family; and a contribution of cash approved for the Morgan Ebel fund.
Kay Kaalberg has been associated with the Lamp project and she has ordered same, which will benefit those with vision problems. Anyone interested in receiving a lamp ON LOAN is asked to contact Kay.
The Semi-Annual report of the lodge was read and approved for sending to Assembly officers; visitation report included 43 visits with members and 47 to non-members.
The meeting was adjourned for the summer recess and will reconvene on Tuesday evening, September 14 at the Kalonial Townhouse for a 6:30 dinner and meeting.
