Members of the Iowa City Genealogical Society will meet June 24. Kathryn Whalen, Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Supervisor at the Davenport Public Library, will discuss the genealogical resources available to family historians at the library. She will explain how researchers can access the materials available, in-person and online. She will also provide a brief overview of the services and other activities of Special Collections. Both genealogical and local history materials can be found in the Special Collections Center.
The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Family History Center at 2730 Bradford Drive or can be viewed via zoom. Non-members may get permission to view the program via Zoom by sending an email to icgsnews@gmail.com.
