Riverside City Council holds meeting Nov. 1

The Riverside City Council gathered for their regular meeting on Monday, November 1 at 6 p.m.

After the consent agenda was approved, a representative from the fire department discussed their request to sell equipment. Along with the fire department’s request was Tom Brase’s request for partial sewer abatement for filling of pool and power washing house. All approved.

Axiom-Final continued their discussion from the previous meeting on their Railroad Park project, the idea is to put up signs that would indicate the number of miles you’ve run. They mentioned possible expenses and the timetable.

After the public hearings, the board moved to approve the City Administrator, Christine Yancey, amended agreement. Now the city administrator is required to live within 20 miles of Riverside, which solves Yancey’s residency issue.

Most notably from the meeting was the approval to accept Andy Rodger’s resignation as a City Council member.
