3rd grade 1st Place: Brantley Mills

I love America because it’s a great country and I appreciate how hard they worked for it so we could have a great life and how nice people are and how many people sacrificed their selves for us. I really appreciate it. It is hard for me to think about it and I am sorry what you were put through.

2nd place – Clara Unkrich

I love America because how many people join the army and how many people fight for U.S.A. I love how many people care for U.S.A. they protect U.S.A. and they respect the U.S.A. and care for our seas and our armies on land. The United States army is a branch of the United States armed forces. Its main job is land warfare. Thank the army love the world and that is why I love America.

“I Am Grateful For Veterans Because…”

4th grade – 1st Place Benjamin Longbine

Have you ever thought about what veterans do for us? Veterans sacrifice their lives for us, they go to war to keep our country and us safe, they make sure we have freedom all the time. We have the Navy, Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, and the Marine Corps. They suit up, get their weapons and fight for America. Military soldiers are strong, brave, and smart people. Maybe one day you or me could be out there fighting for America. In all I am very thankful for my veterans.

2nd place – Allison Hahn

I am grateful for veterans because they help me be safe and many more be safe. They protect our country and many more countries. Veterans fought at war for us. They sacrificed their lives for us. They have fought at war and peace. They save tons of people. They protect the water, land, space, and sky. They protect the people and the places. That is how I am grateful for veterans. So thank you, thanks for everything.

5th grade – 1st place Jocelyn Thomann

I am proud to be an American because I love the people who fight for my country because this world would not be the same if we did not have Americans who did not fight for our country. I love careers in America because farmers let us eat, doctors let us be healthy, teachers help kids get careers later on, and that makes me thankful for having an amazing life in America. If I ever left this country it would not be the same without it. This is my hometown and I’m proud it is. I love my country and everything about it. I’m very happy that I have a loving family and friends and I’m healthy and safe. America is my country and I’m honored to be in it.

I am proud to be an American because…

I have freedom and can be a good American.

I can stay up late but not too late because I have school.

I get to be myself around others.

I am glad that we have laws so I can follow them and make sure I am doing the right thing.

I am very grateful for this amazing country.

One of my favorite things about America you see a police officer or a veteran or someone who fought for our country you can wave hi or thank you for their service.

People sacrificed their lives for this country so we could live a happy and good life.

I think I have an amazing life and I am very grateful for the things I have.
