Roger Dean Yoder, who resided in Bakersfield, Calif., went to be with his Lord and Savior on Aug. 10, 2022, in Los Angeles. He was surrounded by his wife of 42 years, Dixie Jean Yoder, and his children, Adam (Sarah) Yoder and Luke Yoder of Austin, Texas and Hannah Reinhardt of Sandford, N.C. Roger is also survived by a stepson Dale Serbousek of Bellingham, Wash.; five grandchildren: Natalie and Serene (Dale) and Mika, Chase, and Rhett (Adam & Sarah).

Roger was born July 2, 1951, in Iowa City, to Carolyn Grace Yoder and Elwood Yoder. His life was marked by simple faithfulness. He demonstrated an unwavering commitment to his family, C.A. Roger was preceded in death by his parents: Carolyn Grace Yoder and Elwood Yoder; and his nephew: Joshua Yoder.
A celebration of life service will be held at Crossroads Christian Fellowship in Bakersfield, on Aug. 26, 2022 from 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bakersfield Baseball Academy (Venmo: @Bakersfield_Braves or mail to: 7524 Calloway Dr, Bakersfield, CA 93314).  Roger’s life will also be honored in Iowa at a later date.
