The Kalona Rotary Club seeks nominations for the Educator of the Year. The program recognizes an outstanding educator serving children in a public or private school in the Mid-Prairie area.
Criteria requires that the educator:
•instill in students a desire to learn and achieve
•understand individual needs of students and encourage their talents
•foster cooperative relationships with colleagues and the community
•demonstrate outstanding leadership.
Nominations may be submitted by any adult in the community and supported by another adult in the area. Educators may not nominate themselves. The nomination materials should have brief descriptions of the nominee’s contributions in the above areas.
The nominations will be reviewed by the committee with a recommendation made to the Kalona Rotary Club board for final approval.
