A number of area students took part in music camps at Luther College, Decorah, last month.
Tiffany Curtis, Lacey Curtis, both of Iowa City, Andrea Gustafson and Katy Slabach, both of Kalona, and all students at Mid-Prairie High School, were part of the 35th annual Dorian Summer Music Camp, June 13-19.
The camp featured an orchestra, chorus, concert band, jazz band and music theater workshops, all directed by Luther faculty members. Students who took part in the Dorian Junior High Music Camp, June 6-12, were Jenna Adam and Dyannah Wendt, both of Kalona, Laura Richenberger, Nicole Schlabach and Hanna Schneider, all of Wellman; Luke Johnson and Rachel Patterson, both of Washington. All are students at Mid-Prairie Middle School.
The junior high camp featured two concert bands, an orchestra, chorus, two jazz bands and piano, guitar and dance workshops.
