M-P boys BB camps
The final camp of the summer is set for July 18-21 when a varsity and junior varsity boys camp will go from 3-8 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. to noon (varsity) and 12:30-4:30 p.m. (JV) Monday through Wednesday.
Any area players can sign up on July 18 or before. Forms are available at the high school or by calling 646-6091.
IMS summer camps
Iowa Mennonite School will be hosting summer sports camps for volleyball, boys and girls basketball and soccer.
Dates for the camps are as follows:
Girls basketball - July 19-22, grades 5-12. New head coach Lisa Graber will be on hand, while Dwight Gingerich will be the camp director.
Boys basketball - August 2-6, grades 5-10. Camp will run from 12:30-4:30 p.m. for grades 5-7 and 7:30-11:30 a.m. for grades 8-10
Soccer - August 9-13, grades 3-8

M-P FB, VB camps
Dates have been set for the annual Mid-Prairie football and volleyball camps.
The football camp dates are August 2-6 and 9-13. The camp will run each day from 8 a.m. to noon. Cost is $35 per player with funds going to pay for more assistant coaches in the Golden Hawk football program.
Volleyball camp dates are August 9-13. There will be two sessions with the first running from 8:30 a.m. to noon (advanced) and the second going from 1-4 p.m. (intermediate and beginner).
Advanced camp is for juniors and seniors and others with varsity level experience, while intermediate camp is for freshmen and beginners camp is for players entering sixth through eighth grade. Cost is $45 per player for advanced and intermediate and $40 per player for beginner.

Marycrest slates camps
Marycrest International University is offering basketball and volleyball camps as well as summer league opportunites in both sports in the coming months.
In volleyball, the following opportunities are slated:
Youth camp - July 12-15 for ages 10-14. Half-day sessions cost $40 and players may choose morning (9 a.m.-noon) or afternoon (1-4 p.m.) sessions.
HS skills - July 19-23 for ages 14-18. Cost is $150 for all four days. Sessions are set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day with lunch provided.
Specialty camps - Both for ages 14-18. Hitting/blocking (July 26-27) and passing, defense and setting (July 28-29) are $75 each. Sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
On the basketball front, the Quad City Thunder and Marycrest will offer an expanded basketball camp program this summer.
Following are summer hoop opportunties at Marycrest:
Summer shootout - July 9-11 for varsity and sophomore boys basketball teams.
Cost is $175 per team.

Hawkeye BB camp
The University of Iowa summer basketball camp will feature two sessions for boys, ages 10 through senior year of high school.

Loras, Luther to host Futurestar camps
Luther College in Decorah and Loras College in Dubuque will host boys and girls basketball camps this summer for the 1999 Futurestars tour.
A boys camp will go from July 25-29 at Luther, while Loras will host a girls camp July 30-August 3.
