On Tuesday, April 5,the annual Iowa Chapter of APCO (Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials) Spring Conference and awards ceremony was held in Altoona. Two local 911 telecommunicators were honored with a milestone award for service. Sandy Lovetinsky (top) received a milestone award for 30-years of service and Melanie Huschka (bottom) received a milestone award for 20-years of service with Washington County Communications. Angela Dobyns, President of Iowa APCO, presented them with their awards.
