On behalf of the entire Pleasantview organization, I wish to thank the City of Kalona – and City Administrator Ryan Schlabaugh – for nominating us as one of the Kalona Community Award recipients. Kalona is a special community, and I am privileged to see that on a daily basis. There needs to be a cooperative partnership between the community and its businesses, and we are fortunate to experience that at Pleasantview.
The City has been nothing but helpful and supportive in our efforts to expand our facilities and programs, and we look forward to a continued strong relationship as we continue helping our residents “live in community.” We often say that Kalona needs Pleasantview, and most certainly, Pleasantview needs Kalona.
Our staff do an outstanding job of caring for our elderly, and we’re grateful to be recognized as a 5-star facility – one of six in Iowa – in all facets of nursing care.
So thank you, Ryan and the City of Kalona, for recognizing Pleasantview: our residents, families, and staff. As our Vision Statement proclaims, our hope is that “Pleasantview will be the place of choice to live and work.”
