With all the confusion and turmoil we experience in our land, we still have people who go above and beyond the call of duty.
The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) has done a tremendous job doing the shoulders on Highway 22 between Kalona and Riverside. In just a short span of time, right before our eyes, it actually happened. I’ve heard quite a few words of gratitude from the neighborhood for this project.
The bridge midway between the two towns will still need to be replaced and is in progress.
Traffic control will still need to be practiced and, up to this point, has been super.
May we as a people be patient during this time and practice the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. May we respect and pay honor to whom honor is due.
Thank you, Iowa DOT.
