The official Trick or Treat night in Kalona is Thursday, October 28, to coincide with the annual Kalona Optimist Club Halloween Party.
Generally, youngsters start their rounds for Trick or Treat about 5 p.m., moving on to the party at 7 p.m. in the downtown B-4 Building.
The party is for pre-schoolers through 6th graders and features games, activities, refreshments and a costume contest.
Motorists are reminded to take care when driving Kalona streets Thursday since masked youngsters often do not see as clearly.
