Some Democrats now believe their party isn’t doing enough to stop Trump. But the real problem isn’t the Democrats — it’s the Republicans. They’re watching the lawless actions of an egotistical, narcissistic president unfold before their eyes.

This one man is attempting to rewrite the Constitution and disregard the rule of law that has long been the backbone of our democracy. He acts like a wannabe dictator, and those who refuse to stand up to him are failing our country. Turning away from that responsibility makes them complicit — they enable him.

Trump’s first and most damaging act was imposing tariffs on both allies and adversaries alike. He resorts to intimidation and threats, trying to make the world conform to his personal ideals. He feels powerful when world leaders come to the White House, pleading for relief.

He punishes those who don’t comply, doubling tariffs on nations that displease him. He makes deals that benefit himself, his family, and his business interests.

I’m convinced the main reason he ran for office was to enrich himself — and his wealth has grown considerably since his election. Of course, the lure of power played a big part too. Now he’s even hinting at running for a third term. It must be hard to give up having so many people kiss his ring.

His sense of grandiosity is immense — it defines his entire personality. Look up the word “grandiose,” and you’ll see it describes him perfectly. The symptoms, the behavior, the entitlement — it’s all there. He truly is a legend in his own mind.
