PUBLIC NOTICE
Washington County, after consultation with the County Engineer, has authority to vacate certain roads within the County pursuant to Code of Iowa Section 306.10. The County desires to vacate the following road in Washington County legally described as follows:
Cedar Ave.
The West half of Cedar Avenue in Lot 4, in the NE ¼ , NE ¼ of Section 29, and the East half of Cedar Avenue in Lot 2, in the NW ¼ , NW ¼ of Section 28, more particularly described as a portion of the road beginning approximately 1,300 feet north of the north ROW line on 145th Street, extending northward approximately 1,175 feet to the south ROW line of the 100 feet easement of the old C.R.I. & P. Railway, all in Township 77 North, Range 9 West of the 5th P.M., Washington County, Iowa.
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Washington County, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the above proposed road vacation on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. in the Supervisors Chambers located in the Washington County Courthouse, 222 West Main Street, Washington, Iowa.
