The Washington County Auditor’s Office is now accepting nomination papers for non-party offices which will appear on the November 8, 2022 General Election ballot. The deadline for filing is August 31 at 5:00 p.m. Terms of county hospital board, agricultural extension council, and soil conservation commission will be filled at the election, as well as Brighton Township Clerk/Trustee and Clay Township Clerk/Trustee.
A term of service is 4 years for the hospital board, extension council and soil commission. Township office terms are also 4 years each.
Individuals interested in running as independents for the offices of County Attorney, County Recorder, County Treasurer and County Supervisor (Districts #3 and #5) also have until August 31 to file nomination papers with the County Auditor’s Office.
