Heather Hora (R-Washington) announced her campaign for Iowa House in House District 92 on Thursday, Feb. 3
“In my role as a mother and a farmer, I know what makes rural Iowa special,” said Hora. “I understand the importance of revitalizing rural Iowa. I am running for the Iowa House to continue making our communities attractive, safe places to live and raise families. It is imperative that our children receive the best education in America, are prepared for exciting career opportunities in our own state and enjoy a tax climate where they want to stay and raise their families.”
As sixth generation farmers, Heather and her husband Kurt are proud to call this area home. It is where they raise their three children and teach them the importance of giving back, a strong work ethic and the value of a great education. “I believe in the importance of serving my community and being a voice for my neighbors,” said Hora. Hora has been honored to proudly serve in various volunteer roles at local schools, in her community and for our state.
Iowa House District 92 encompasses all of Washington County and parts of rural Johnson County, including Washington, Kalona, Riverside, Wellman, Ainsworth, Lone Tree, Hills, Crawfordsville and Brighton.
