Award-winning comedian and magician Chipper Lowell has been described as an “artistic cyclone of talent and comedy”. Coming to the Washington Area Performing Arts and Events Center at the Washington High School’s Hanson Auditorium, 1111 South Ave. B, on Saturday Feb. 19 at 2:30 PM, The Chipper Experience is a one man family show where comedy and magic collide.
As a boy, Chipper was literally born and raised on traveling circuses and large-scale arena shows with his show business parents. His father was a professional clown with the Ringling Bros. and his mother performed as an aerialist working high above the crowds. By age 17, he was creating his own shows and conjuring magic routines along the way. His improv training came from the critically acclaimed Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles. This led to working the comedy club circuit for seven years.
For over 20 years Chipper has been bringing his infectiously amusing mayhem to audiences around the world at performing arts centers, cruise ships, casino showrooms, and corporate events. Chipper provides original magic, attempts pointless juggling stunts, and pulls a seemingly endless barrage of unusual gadgets from his prop trunk, during an evening full of high energy laughs and amazement.
Chipper Lowell, a two-time “Comedy Magician of the Year” has appeared on The Tonight Show, Disney Channel, CBS News, and Masters of Illusion. Magic Magazine has rated this entertainer “Among the Top Funniest Comedy Magicians Performing Today!”
