Nelson Overholt, 37, of Wellman, was arrested in Johnson County on Thursday, March 27 and booked into the Johnson County Jail, where he faces two charges: enticing a minor under 16 – sexual purpose, a Class D felony, and phone dissemination of obscene material to minors, an aggravated misdemeanor.
He is being held on a $10,000 cash bond.
According to criminal complaints, Overholt had sent nude photos to a person he believed was a female under 16, whom he had been talking with since November. On Thursday, he showed up to a prearranged meeting location with the intent to engage in a sex act with the person but instead was arrested by waiting police.
