Born January 28, 1920 near Wellman, he was the son of Emery A. and Alice (Bender) Brenneman. He attended Franklin Rural School north of Wellman.

1920-1999

Willard S. (Bill) Brenneman, 79, of Wellman died Thursday, August 12, 1999, in a tractor accident on the family farm near Wellman.

Services were Sunday, August 15, in Wellman Mennonite Church with the Reverend Herb Yoder officiating. Burial was in Wellman Mennonite Cemetery.

Born January 28, 1920 near Wellman, he was the son of Emery A. and Alice (Bender) Brenneman. He attended Franklin Rural School north of Wellman.

Mr. Brenneman was united in marriage with Ruth Marner January 2, 1946, in Wellman Mennonite Church.

He was a lifelong resident and farmer in the Wellman area, moving into Wellman in 1990.

He was a member of Wellman Mennonite Church and served as Sunday School teacher and trustee. He was a member of the school board of Pacific School in Washington Township. He served in the United States Air Force from 1942-1945 during World War II.

Survivors include his wife Ruth of Wellman; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Duane and Emma Lee Brenneman of Wellman, Donald and Margie Brenneman of Telford, Pennsylvania, and Loren (Pete) Brenneman of Wellman; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kathleen and Allen Schlabach of Wellman and Karol Brenneman and her friend, Lori Smothers, of South English; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters and a brother-in-law, LaFern Yoder and Nina and Paul L. Miller, and one brother and sister-in-law, Orval and Norma Brenneman, all of Wellman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons, Jeffrey Brenneman and Michael Schlabach.

A memorial fund has been established.
