Benge “Benny” E. Feltz, 63, of Kalona, passed from this life Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, at his home in Kalona. Per his wishes, his body has been cremated and a time to greet his family will be held on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, from 1 – 4 p.m. at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. A general memorial fund has been established.
Benny was born Dec. 3, 1960, in Des Moines, , the son of Gerald and Esther (Gorman) Feltz. He graduated from Washington High School in 1979 and was trained as a mechanic at Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids. On Oct. 6, 1990, he was united in marriage to Regina Winter in Iowa City. Benny worked as a mechanic for many years and most recently at the University of Iowa as an environmental service supervisor. He enjoyed softball, cars, working on the house, and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife: Regina; three children: Jared, Dan (Katey), and Barbara “Bobbie”; six grandchildren: Danielle, Delaney, Joseph, Charles, Henry, and William; two brothers: Dennis and Mark; and a sister: Jenny.
Preceding Benny in death were his parents.
