WASHINGTON
The Washington County Public Health Department will interview the four candidates for the department’s administrator position April 20. The interviews will start in the morning and conclude in the afternoon in what health board member Jack Seward, Jr. said “will be a full day.”
The position became vacant following the resignation of Emily Tokhieim who left to take a position with the State of Iowa. Her final day for Washington County was February 29.
The board had voted earlier not to seek an interim administrator but rather divided duties among the staff. The application deadline was March 15.
There was no announcement about the applicants, who will be identified by number, until a selection is made by June or July, following prior procedure when Tokheim became administrator.
