Snapping a three-game losing streak and breaking out the brooms against a conference opponent, Hillcrest hammered Wapello, 70-43, on Jan. 30.

Collecting a blowout victory on their homecourt, this was Hillcrest’s second win over Wapello this season, improving their record to 12-7. For Wapello this loss drops them to 7-13.

Scoring over 20 in the second quarter, Hillcrest went into halftime with a 13-point lead. They continued to push their lead coming out of halftime while also limiting Wapello to just nine points in the third frame.

Hillcrest closed this game out by scoring 20 in the final frame to take the win by 27 points. This is the second time this season Hillcrest has scored over 70 points.

Playing in one of his best offensive games of the season, junior Bryce Bailey led the Ravens with 23 points while also pulling down a team high seven rebounds.
