Taking the team title was Tipton who scored 104 points. The host school, Washington, was the runner-up with 101 points and Mt. Pleasant claimed 3rd place with a score of 83.

As a team Hillcrest finished with 22 points to place 8th in the final team standings.

While this was not her first time competing in track and field, it was her first time competing as a Raven. Hillcrest sophomore Siena Stanerson, who ran for Highland last year, took part in two long distance running events along with teammate Marie Yoder.

Both Yoder and Stanerson placed within the top ten in the 1500m and the 3000m.

Yoder placed 4th in both races with her times, 11:35 in the 3000m and 5:21 in the 1500, being personal bests. Stanerson also ran personal best times, placing 9th in the 1500m in 5:40 and 7th in the 3000m in 12:03.

The Ravens also had strong showings in the relay races with the four-person team of Rya Scott, Morgyn Nafziger, Delaney Shaw, and Niva Helmuth placing 4th in the 800m sprint medley with a time of 2:02.

Scott also competed in the 100m, 200m, and the long jump. It was a trio of top five finishes for Scott as she placed 4th in the 100m with a PR time of 13.18, a 4th place finish in the long jump with a distance of 14-05, and placed 5th in the 200m in 27.83.

The team title at Washington was won by Prairie CR with a first-place score of 196. No other team even reached the 100-point threshold with the runner-up being IC, Liberty with a score of 78. Taking third place was Fairfield with 57 points.

Hillcrest scored 20 to end the meet with a 10th place finish in the final standings and earning all 20 points for the Ravens was standout sophomore Owen Scott.

Scott competed in four events. In the 200m he recorded a new PR time of 24.96 to earn a runner-up finish, in the high jump he cleared 6-00 to place 3rd, in the long jump he also placed 3rd with a best jump of 19-09, and in the 100m he took 8th place in 12.22.

In addition to Scott, two other Ravens competed at Washington on the boys team, freshman Kale Bailey and Braden Hartsock.

Both Bailey and Hartsock recorded PRs in the 400m with Bailey placing 8th in 58.78 and Hartsock placing 20th in 1:05.

After taking part in the Mike Kautz Invitational at Lone Tree this past Monday, up next for the Hillcrest track and field teams is traveling to Louisa-Muscatine to compete in a meet on April 18.
