1962 - 2026

Bethany Anne (Beth) Coleman was born April 20, 1962, in Iowa City, Iowa. Beth was the third daughter of Charles and Betty (Adams) Coleman thus making her one of “Charlie’s Angels”. Beth passed away peacefully at her home in Wellman September 30, 2026, at the age of 64 years.

Growing up on the family farm greatly suited Beth’s free spirit - playing in and around farm buildings, small creeks, farm fields and gravel roads all of which led to her lifelong love of being barefoot. Beth graduated from Mid-Prairie High School in 1981.

Most recently Beth worked at Riverside Casino & Golf Resort for more than 19 years, retiring in 2025. For several years Beth enjoyed volunteering delivering meals for the Goodwin Senior Center in Wellman. In her leisure hours Beth loved watching birds, crime and court tv shows, collecting blue glass, drinking a cold beer, and spending time with her beloved family and devoted friends. Beth’s true heaven on earth was spending relaxing leisurely time with her sister Anne and her family at Lake of the Ozarks.

Beth is survived by her four loving sisters: Cindy Hahn (Kenny) of Iowa City, Debbie Eckhoff (Rick) of Iowa City, Amy Eakins (Bob) of Keota, and Anne Mann (Steve) of Wellman; 11 nieces and nephews - Neil, Adam, Mark, Megan, Carly, Jack, Alex, Danny, Tara, Seth, Drake; 11 great-nieces and nephews; and her aunt: Betty Dooley.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother: Danny.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m., prior to the memorial.  Casual attire is suggested, being barefoot is optional. A private family burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for the Goodwin Senior Center. PO Box 129, Wellman, IA 52356.

Beth’s family would like to thank Beth’s health practitioner Meagan Squiers and Washington County Hospice for their compassionate care.
