During Tuesday`s meeting, the Washington County Board of Supervisors approved transitions for its IT staff. Kyle Evans will transition into the director position, and Dustin Flake will become the systems administrator.
After Cyndie Sinn retires at the end of the month, the county will hire a new assistant systems administrator. Flake and Sinn previously shared the assistant systems administrator duties. With Flake moving to systems administrator and Sinn retiring, the county plans to hire someone for the position.
An IT subcommittee consisting of Marcus Fedler, Richard Young, Tammy Stewart and Sinn will meet to determine wage recommendations for the IT staff. The department will remain staffed at four employees even after Tim Smit retires.
The board also discussed the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council. Due to law changes, the council`s membership will decrease from 17 to 6. The board expects to consider approval at next week’s meeting.
Board members agreed on the minor plat for Goldfinch Meadows Subdivision, with final approval expected next week. The subdivision is on Highway 256 just off Highway 218 near Ainsworth.
The board also approved an agreement with seven other counties to purchase a Weiler S200 Soil Stabilizer to replace the current one. Clinton County will purchase the approximately $300,000 machine next week. Under the agreement, each county will pay $2,500, and Clinton County will coordinate its use among the eight counties.
