NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TO AMEND PROVISIONS OF SECTION 92.09 (CUSTOMER DEPOSITS) AND
SECTION 110.11(2) (“DEPOSIT”) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF WELLMAN, IOWA
Pursuant to Iowa Code Chapter 380, the City Council of the City of Wellman, Iowa, is proposing an amendment to City Code §§92.09 and 110.11(2), pertaining to required deposits for water and natural gas service, respectively, to require different deposit amounts for owner-occupied properties and rental properties, based upon above-average rates of default on accounts for services to rental properties.
A public hearing on the proposed amendment shall be held at the following date, time, and location:
Date and Time for Public Hearing: 5:30 p.m. on March 4, 2024
Location of Public Hearing: City Hall, 316 8th Avenue, Wellman, Iowa 52356
At the hearing, any interested person may file written comments or present oral comments with respect to the proposed amendment.
