Special Meeting
Monday, January 22, 2024
5:00 p.m. – Highland Board Room

The meeting was called to order at 5:03 p.m. by President Nate Robinson.
Roll call was taken with John O’Leary, Monica Jepson, Dan Ruth, Joslin Schott, Karen Fink and Nate Robinson present. Rachel Longbine was absent. Also in attendance were Ken Crawford, Superintendent, Jane O’Leary, Elementary Principal and Sue Rich, Board Secretary.
Ruth made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. Seconded by Jepson.
Motion carried 6-0
Ruth made a motion to approve having 4 year old preschool be all day for 4 days for the 2024-25 school year. Seconded by Schott.
Motion carried 6-0
Schott made a motion to approve the disposal of the obsolete phone equipment in the tech rooms to anyone for $0 to be picked up by 1/31/24. Seconded by Jepson.
Motion carried 6-0
No Personnel to be approved at this meeting.
Jepson made a motion to adjourn at 5:12 p.m. Seconded by Fink. Motion carried 6-0

Work Session
Monday – January 22, 2024

The work session was called to order at 5:13 p.m. by President Nate Robinson.
John O’Leary, Monica Jepson, Dan Ruth, Joslin Schott, Karen Fink and Nate Robinson were present. Rachel Longbine was absent. Also present were Ken Crawford, Superintendent, Angela Hazelett, Secondary Principal, Jane O’Leary, Elementary Principal and Sue Rich, Board Secretary.
Jepson made a motion to approve the agenda. Seconded by Fink.
Motion carried 6-0
Mr Crawford went over the 4-Day School Week at length. He shared lots of data and frequently asked questions. There was much discussion by the board members. Crawford stated that at the February board meeting he would like to have the board decide whether we should develop a 4 day school week calendar for the 2024-25 school year.
Schott made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by Fink.
Motion carried 6-0.
The work session adjourned at 6:53 p.m.
