Board of Directors Work
Session
Monday – February 26, 2024
5:00 p.m. – Highland Board Room

The work session was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by President Nate Robinson.
Rachel Longbine, Monica Jepson, Dan Ruth, Joslin Schott, Karen Fink, John O’Leary and Nate Robinson were present. Also present were Ken Crawford, Superintendent, Angela Hazelett, Secondary Principal, Jane O’Leary, Elementary Principal and Sue Rich, Board Secretary.
Ruth made a motion to approve the agenda. Seconded by Longbine.
Motion carried 7-0
Jane O’Leary went over the FAST reading , iReady Math and iReady reading data and showed the goals for Spring 2024. She also showed a midyear diagnostic growth sheet for both reading and math as well as the formative assessment guiding questions.
Angela Hazelett talked about the ISASP goal setting that is being done in Huskie Time ahead of the testing that will start on 3/13. In professional development the staff is working on CPI training and role playing as part of that. They are also discussing lesson plans and keeping students engaged for the entire block.
Mr Crawford handed out a packet from OPN Architects on the communication plan for the general obligation bond referendum and next steps were discussed as well as a timeline on when things should be completed.
Superintendent Report:
The following items were reviewed and a brief discussion on each by Mr Crawford:
Debt Service Neutral Bond & Tax Rate Changes in the future
Meeting today with superintendents on AEA proposed changes
Superintendent Evaluation handed out
Sue Rich, Business Manager handed out the FY23 Audit Report which will be discussed further at the 3/11 regular board meeting.
Longbine made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by O’Leary. Motion carried 7-0.
The work session adjourned at 5:59 p.m.
