Over 1000 people were served on Sunday, May 12 at Hills Fire Department’s Pancake Breakfast. Community members waited in a line wrapping around the dining area and out the door of the Hills Community Center, wishing each other a happy Mother’s Day and inquiring about each other’s plans for the day. Firefighters and their families served up hot pancakes, sausages, eggs, potatoes, and biscuits & gravy and kept the butter and syrup stocked; diners enjoyed a great meal with friends and family while supporting the department.
