Subject to approval by the Board of Supervisors at a subsequent meeting.
Vice Chairperson Green called the Johnson County Board of Supervisors to order in the Johnson County Health and Human Services Boardroom at 9:01 a.m. Members present: V Fixmer-Oraiz, Jon Green, and Lisa Green-Douglass. Members absent: Royceann Porter and Rod Sullivan.
Unless otherwise noted, all actions were taken unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENT
Board Office Executive Director Guillermo Morales introduced a new employee, Board Office Communications Manager Dana Dominguez. Dominguez briefly summarized her background.

Motion by Fixmer-Oraiz, second by Green-Douglass, to approve the payroll authorizations submitted by department heads and elected officials, as approved by a majority of the Supervisors.
Motion by Green-Douglass, second by Fixmer-Oraiz, to approve the alcohol license application for Wildwood Saloon, as contained in the agenda packet of this meeting.
RESOLUTION NO. 02-29-24-01
RESOLUTION AWARDING PROJECT # FM-C052(125)--55-52
F46 / AMERICAN LEGION ROAD HMA RESURFACING WITH MILLING
Summary: The Board believes Project # FM-C052(125)--55-52 - F46/ American Legion Road HMA Resurfacing with Milling, is in the best interest of Johnson County. Board Action: Resolved: to accept the bid from L.L. Pelling Co., Inc. in the amount of $4,935,872.44 and awards the associated contract(s) to the same; that all other resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed. If any part of this resolution is adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the resolution or action of The Board as a whole or any part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its approval as provided by law; and after receiving the necessary contract documents, including but not limited to, the contractor’s bond and certificate of insurance, Greg Parker, the County Engineer for Johnson County, Iowa, be and is hereby designated, authorized, and empowered on behalf of the Board of Supervisors of said County to execute the contracts in connection with the afore awarded construction project let through the DOT for this county. Motion by Green-Douglass, second by Fixmer-Oraiz, to approve Resolution No. 02-29-24-01 effective February 29, 2024.
