The Kalona Historical Village is still seeking campers for its summer camp, where the theme is “keeping history alive.” Three sessions will be held: June 14-17, June 21-24 and June 28-July 1.
Information about the camp and registration material is available at kalonaiowa.org under the summer camp tab.
Scholarships are available and all campers are encouraged to apply. The form, available on the website, is only meant to guide and lay out the question “Why do you want to learn more about the past?” The way children respond to this question is open-ended, whether through writing, drawing, creating digital art or having a conversation.
