Riverside to lower Highway 22 speed limit

Riverside

More speed limit changes are coming to Riverside.

Back in July, the speed limit was changed from 55 mph to 60 mph.

However, it was recently reported that parts of Riverside will see another speed limit change, but this time, the speed limit will be decreasing.

The speed limit along Highway 22 will decrease from 55 mph to 45 mph, starting at East Street and stretching east to Willow Avenue, near the Riverside Casino & Golf Resort. The affected stretch is approximately 2.5 miles long.

The city made the change earlier this month, and it will become official once the Iowa Department of Transportation changes the signage.

The new signs are expected to be installed soon, with the city anticipating the change will be completed sooner rather than later.
