Lori Gerber has worked in the retail store at Kalona Chocolates since 2016. She is currently our retail store manager. Lori is responsible for managing the inventory in our store and does a fantastic job of keeping our shelves full and our product presented well. Perhaps Lori’s greatest strength is her ability to create a memorable experience for our customers. Locals and tourists are both greeted with a friendly hello and then Lori takes the time to get to know her customers. They often leave with a smile on their face after having shared stories and perhaps a good laugh. Amazingly, Lori maintains this exceptional customer service even during our busy Christmas season. Additionally, Lori has lived most of her life in the Kalona area and is very capable of making dining, shopping, lodging and other recommendations for visitors to our town. Lori is also responsible for fulfilling our online orders and gives the same thoughtfulness and care to each of those orders. Lori and her husband Nolan have three children. They range in age from a college sophomore to a high school freshman. Lori is known by our staff for her storytelling skills. She keeps us entertained with stories of life with three children and of their most recent feats on the basketball court or soccer field. Thank you, Lori, for making Kalona Chocolates and our community a little brighter.

This is what makes the Kalona area so unique.
