BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
WASHINGTON COUNTY, IOWA
REGULAR MEETING OF TUESDAY, MAY 30, 2023

At 9:00 am Chair Bob Yoder called to order in regular session a meeting of the Washington County Board of Supervisors which took place in the Washington County Courthouse. Items on the agenda included: personnel change requests–Public Health; personnel change request–Ambulance Services; appointment of Tim Beachy to fulfil an unexpired term on the Wellman-Scofield Library Board that ends June 30, 2025. Supervisors Jack Seward, Stan Stoops, and Marcus Fedler were also present. Supervisor Richard Young was absent.
All motions were passed unanimously by those supervisors in attendance unless noted otherwise.
The Board voted to approve the agenda as published.
The Board voted to acknowledge, and authorize the Chair to sign, a personnel change request from Public Health for full-time non-exempt Diane Waldschmidt whose rate of pay will increase to $37.47 per hour effective June 21, 2023. The change is related to Waldschmidt’s 11-year employment anniversary.
The Board voted to acknowledge, and authorize the Chair to sign, a personnel change request from Public Health for full-time non-exempt Registered Nurse Jenifer Roberts whose rate of pay will increase to $35.25 per hour effective June 1, 2023. Roberts will be assuming additional duties.
The Board voted to acknowledge, and authorize the Chair to sign, a personnel change request from Ambulance Services for EMT Stephen Swaffer whose employment classification will change from part-time non-exempt to full-time non-exempt effective June 1, 2023. Swaffer’s rate of pay will not change.
The Board voted to appoint Tim Beachy to fulfil an unexpired term on the Wellman-Scofield Library Board that ends June 30, 2025.
At 9:13 am the Board voted to adjourn.
